9 New Year Resolutions for Your Home
Traditional New Year's resolutions usually entail diet, exercise, and weight loss. Why not take a different approach in 2024 by channeling your energy into home upgrades that can enhance your comfort, safety, and enjoyment now and possibly increase the resale value of your home down the road?
Decluttering Your Home
If you’re moving from a bigger place to a smaller one, you know you’ll need to downsize. When you realize your things have taken over your life, you may be ready to simplify, so decluttering could be the answer. Simple, right?
Unfortunately, letting go may not always be as easy as it may seem. Regardless of your reason for letting go of excess stuff, emotional considerations and logistical challenges can slow you down. Where to donate gently used items, how to pass along family heirlooms, and ways to get some extra cash for once high-ticket furniture can hamper the romantic notion of a simple weekend project.
In this seminar we will be discussing the differences between the declutter mindset and the downsizing mindset and will share strategies for each process. We will uncover both the psychological and societal phenomenon at play when it comes to the disposition of household goods. And, we will share the current and future realities of estate liquidation services and antique dealers.
Reverse Mortgage: Age in Place or Make a Move
What They Are, and What They Aren’t
What They Can Do, and What They Can’t
We’ve all heard about reverse mortgage loans. They receive plenty of media coverage – most
of us have seen them advertised, with famous and well-respected actors touting the potential benefits. But few of us fully understand what a reverse mortgage is (or what it isn’t), what
the pros and the cons are, or how this type of loan can be incorporated into our financial
and estate plans.
Moving Mom and Dad: Change is never easy, whether retiring, downsizing or rightsizing, or transitioning into an active independent lifestyle community. Are you tasked with relocating mom and dad or moving one you love into assisted living or memory care, they all have similar elements! This is an emotional and many times stressful change into not only a new home but a new stage of life.
We have helped many families through moves similar like yours and we can help you! We are here to consult and help you move confidently into the future with peace of mind that comes from your knowledge that you know what you are doing and how you are going to do it, along with the support of a team who cares about what is important to you.
